## Brake Compounds

### Organic Disc pads

Aztec’s organic compound contains a blend of natural fibres and advanced binding resins, developed over years riding in all conditions at all levels. They offer exceptional modulation with a solid initial bite for the ultimate level of control.

While less durability than sintered pads, their forgiving nature and affordability make them ideal for less experienced cyclist. Although they can be used in all conditions, they excel in the dry, ideal for spring and summer rides on roads and trails alike.

### Sintered Disc Brake Pads

Aztec’s sintered compound is formed from metallic particles fused under intense heat and pressure, giving them an extremely high thermal threshold. They deliver powerful, consistent braking with confidence-inspiring modulation, even under heavy use on long descents.

More durable than organic pads, they shine in wet, muddy, or challenging terrain, giving riders reliable stopping power when it counts. Aztec’s Sintered brake pads are ideal for all riders who push the limits.

### eBike Compound

Engineered for smooth, controlled braking and up to 30% longer lifespan, Aztec’s E-Bike Compound contains extra Kevlar, allowing it to handle the added weight of e-bikes and heavily loaded cargo bikes with confidence and reliability. While tuned for dependable braking under load, some riders — even those pushing the limits — appreciate the smooth, adaptable feel that lets them match braking to their style or terrain.

This tunability makes the pads versatile beyond e-bikes. Made from organic resin, they are fully compatible with organic/resin-only rotors, delivering consistent performance ride after ride.
